Crawford’s Joinery Ltd was founded in 1972 by Alan & Carol Crawford. Daughter Julie came on board in July 1991. Tommy Henry joined the company in 1996 as Director and General Manager. After many years of hard work and dedication and his retirement looming, Tommy resigned his position as Director in June 2018. He will retain his position as General Manager until he fully retires in June 2019 when he will pass on the position to our Production Manager Neil Anderson.

In the office we have Lauren Tosh who takes care of our accounts. She is joined in the office by David Freeburn who is in the process of taking on the role of Production Manager and Paul Scott as Joinery Technical Manager.

Sadly, Alan passed away in June 2014 however Crawfords Joinery Ltd remains a family owned business by Carol and Julie with family values providing high performance timber windows & door sets as well as bespoke products.

Projects include premium new-builds & replacements, home improvements, major high spec: developments & social housing as well as shop-fronts, commercial, domestic & conservation needs. All our products are designed & manufactured in our UK-factory within the historic walled border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed which lies at the estuary of the famously rich trout fishing river…… “Tweed”.

Our 25-strong work-force takes great pride & finesse in helping choose & produce products to exacting standards complimented by our all-important after sales service. We offer an extensive ranging portfolio of products both standard & bespoke which can be further tailored to individual requirements. All our products are constructed with traditional mortice & tenon or slot & tenon joints…… as against inferior mass-produced products with dowelled joints costing as much if not more than our product. Factory glazed in a wide variety of specific combinations, fully decorated with the very latest spray applications within a controlled environment offer a high degree of quality, longevity & peace of mind. These factors also avoid the uncontrolled weather conditions that can occur on cheaper alternatives which require site decorating. Also reduced site time scales eliminate the need for site glazing & painting reducing completion times & costs as well as potential future product problems. All Fully Finished products come with a comprehensive warranty. As with all our continuous improvements we are fully qualified in the use of & are an approved “Accoya” wood products manufacturer…. Which can offer an extensive life span to our portfolio as well as an enhanced surface finish whether as a complete product or in part component.
